Mome

This collection draws inspiration from Bar Shoes, which originated in Western Europe, with notable examples from 19th-century France. The name “bar shoes” comes from the distinctive strap that crosses the top of the foot. Named “Môme”, meaning “child” in French, the collection reflects the Bar Shoes origins as children’s footwear. In the 20th century, French fashion houses refined and adapted them for women’s fashion, evolving into the sophisticated Mary Jane Shoe.

Through this collection, we explore the interplay of various types of genuine leather and suede, offering a fresh take on the original bar shoe with a unique rounded toe shape at the front of the shoes.
