Our first collection draws inspiration from the simplicity of 14th-century Indonesia, where “Teklek” (a wooden sandal, also known as “Bakiak) was widely worn.
The Teklek, known by different names across cities, featured a thick wooden sole with an upper made from leather, rubber, or used tires.
Our designs reinterpret this traditional footwear with bulky platforms, square-shaped soles, and a mix of synthetic suede and leather, bringing a modern twist to the classic Teklek.
